Being the new kids on the block isn’t always easy, but Archer Park Racing have
definitely proven themselves at the top level of racing. Based in Woodford,
Archer Park have access to some of the best training facilities in the state. Led
by Managing Director Chris Wessel, Archer Park aim to give owners the best
racing experience possible. Chris is a veteran to the racing game, being
involved since he owned his first horse at the age of 18. With 30 years of
experience in business, Chris has acquired many essential skills that make him
the right man to lead Archer Park.
Winning is the name of the game in the racing industry, and Archer Park
definitely make this easy with their team, which includes the Edmonds
Brothers (Toby and Trent), Stuart Kendrick and Matthew Henderson.
Based on the Gold Coast, Toby and Trent are regularly at the top of the
premiership lists in Queensland, and are consistently training around 100
winners per season. Toby has also found plenty of success with many black
type winners, including From Within, Winter Bride, Havasay and Houtzen to
name a few.
On the Sunshine Coast, they have Stuart Kendrick who built himself as the
leading trainer in his first full season. Stuart has also enjoyed success up north,
where he dominated the Mackay racing scene for many years, taking home
plenty of accolades too.
Matthew Henderson leads the local team based in Woodford, and brings a
wealth of racing experience and knowledge to the team. Matthew has worked
for many years with the AJC in multiple roles, and more recently with Racing
Queensland. Archer Park couldn’t be in safer hands with Matthew as the Farm
Manager.
Having had a quiet Magic Millions carnival, Archer Park will definitely have
their eyes set on the Brisbane Winter Carnival, which kicks off in May. They’re
definitely ones to watch, and have a promising future in the racing industry.
