Saturday we had a couple more of our Blackbook runners, bringing up our first winner in Luskin Hero at Doomben. We hope our followers cashed in at a nice $6.10 on the NSW tote.
Regulus had his second start of his career from a sticky gate which did not help his cause. He did not appear to like the Caulfield surface and didn’t seem to show his sprint as he did on debut. He is a lovely type and we are sure he will back in our blackbook again.

7. SILENT IMPACT If you were able to jag the $7 on offer with this bloke, you have to be cheering cause we don’t think he will be that next time. He won in very quick time and showed greenness and toughness when taking a narrow gap to hit the lead and win with authority. The time, his rawness and manner in the way he one this, shows he is above average.

13. ARABOLINI After trucking in the lead till the 800 metre mark when B.Avdulla ATTEMPTED a mid race move on his mount, the German Born Gelding was forced to then chase earlier than I think the jockey little Irishwoman Ellen Hennessy wanted to and as a result the horse peeled out at the 400 and was presented and gave a strong kick. He was a sitting duck for the subsequent winner and placegetter and boxed on VERY bravely to run third. He was sent out as a $21 pop and had the race unfolded differently I don’t think they would have caught him! Big Watch next start!
