Well the post season of choking has continued with the 106 season game winners, Los Angeles Dodgers losing in six games to Atlanta Braves 4 -2. Allowing the Braves into the World Series Final for the first time in 20 years. It didn’t help with the Dodgers forgetting their offense.
The only shining light was in game 5, when Chris TAYLOR equalled a post season record with 3 home runs.
That win was just preventing the inevitable for the Braves who put themselves in a comfortable position. They were not going to allow history repeat, after being in the same position last post season and losing 3 games straight to the Dodgers, who then went on to win the World Series. But on the other hand the Braves showed up. With Eddie ROSARIO hitting a record equalling 14 home runs for the series!
Although the Dodgers forgot their bat, the Braves Bullpen was outstanding.
In the American League final series it looked at one point that an upset was on the cards. With the Boston Red Sox losing the first game against Houston Astros then going on to win games 2 and 3 convincingly with the later game winning 12-3. The Red Sox then must have got ahead of themselves, losing the next 3 games for a total of 3-23. The Astros turned it on giving the Red Sox a baseball lesson.
Whatever way you see it the Astros have more post season experience being there five of the last six years with a championship under their belt.
Does experience help win it or does the excitement for the Braves in beating last year’s champions and this season’s favourite, give them the confidence to win it. What I do know if both sides turn up with the bat, it is going to be a home run blitz.
If you followed us in with Cody BELLINGER and Jose ALTUVE batting plays your wallet would be heavier!!! 💰💰💰
In a hard and tough series to find a winner we are siding with the Astros 4-2. Stick with ALTUVE with 2+ hits, FREEMAN is hr value. Good luck and keep your eye on the ball. ⚾️
