The Origins of Yeah The Punt
Yeah The Punt was started on October 20th 2016 by Jack McInerney and Mitchell Krause with the aim of providing an alternative viewpoint on Horse Racing both in Australia and Globally. We have been following racing forensically for the last 13 years which in turn has given us a deep understanding of the game and more importantly, its participants.
The idea for YTP was literally cooked up on day 2 of a Bucks Party in Newcastle. Over the last 4 years we have built up a quite fervent supporter base who have stuck with us since the beginning. We have slowly built the page up and now have just under 12,000 likes and over 13,000 followers. We aim to provide succinct analysis of all things horse racing meanwhile outlining the reality of being a young male/female in todays society dominated by excess.
The aim of Yeah The Punt going forward will be to provide HONEST commentary on all things horse racing, whether its the debate surrounding the use of whips or another high profile owner being arrested for industrial level cocaine dealing we will be covering it in depth. We want to offer an alternative news source than those already in the Horse Racing media sphere who produce lets face it, very meek and boring content. We aim to post articles from a very wide range of both young up and coming racing enthusiasts mixed with articles from seasoned racing journalists who have indicated their interest in teaming up with us. Also we will have opinion pieces from trainers, something which unless its Wayne Hawkes on Racing.com is non existent.
We will be posting articles on how to improve your punting whether its tips on how to do the form more effectively or if its a tip on a jockey that is airborne, we want to help you win more money on the Punt.
