(Prices current as of 12:30pm on NSW TAB Fixed Odds)
R1 #4 Happy Babe ($10/$2.60) – Racing well, 3kg claim and solid tempo looks to set up well. Form around it is okay, couple on the up in this race but happy to be with this one.
R2 – 2 Horse Play E/W with #5 Perfect Witness ($19/$4.20) and #10 The Cullinan ($19/$4.20) Couple of really solid each way plays, Gollan very happy with Perfect Witness leading in and the cullinan come out of a solid enough race first up up in trip. Favourite the clear danger.
R3 – No bet.
R4 – Box Trifecta 2/3/4/8. Startantes scratching throws the weights out and should favour Muschalli ($3.70) but there’s stiff competition. They look to have the rest covered.
R5 – No Bet, watch and enjoy. Will be a good form reference for future races. We R6 – #15 Sweet Margot May ($3.40) Looks exciting, looks up to it although is this is a very strong class. Getting nice odds to find out. Respect #8 One Shy Ruby ($4) although thinking it will be wide the trip from the barrier.
R7 – No Bet.
R8 – #2 The Harrovian ($5) Our old favourite is ready to win, race looks to pan out well. He is our best today.
R9 – #12 Explosive Quality ($23/$5) is miles over the odds. The favourite is way too short in the market, as long as she jumps with the field, this will be a good each way bet. First up run much better than the result. Respecting #7 Enterprise Keren ($8/$2.40) and #8 Lasting Kiss ($9.50/$2.70).
Best Bet – #No 9 The Harrovian Best Value – R9 #12 Explosive Quality
R2 – Quinella with 3, 4 and 6. Best rated horses in the field, Tamilaide consistent but struggles to win and Indian Dreamer along with Abracadazzle great chances to win.
R3 – No 8 Traduce E/W. Well back in grade and is overs although slightly short of it’s best distance. This is a pretty average BM90 although Sea Raider will be there at the finish and Cloak can pop up.
R4 – No 9 Sciconic E/W. Very consistent, will run out the 2000m where the favourite is not proven over it and happy to risk. Hoping the tempo is quick in the run.
R5 – 2 Horse play with 2 Alfs Magic and 11 Kipsbay. The form is strong enough for both horses with Kipsbay an emergency last week in the millions and Alf on the upward trend although in a stronger race here.
R6 – Quinella 2, 6 and 7. Very hard to pick between them, Frosty Mango very consistent and Amity Gal the query but looks smart. Self Indulgent the security blanket and because the name is fantastic (we all know at least one 😉 haha)
R7 – No 10 Purroni. Just missed for us last time and seems well placed here. Form ties in with Maya Bay and banking on race fitness now 3rd up.
R8 and R9 No Bet. Anything could win these although Glitter Strip with 52.5Kg in the last is enticing but been costly.
Its safe to say in Horse Racing circles when something seems too good to be true, it is. Especially when someone is offering odds of $6 for a raging $1.80 Favourite!
This is what transpired last week in the days leading up to the Magic Millions Meeting when clueless punters were duped AGAIN by a SEASONED SCAM ARTIST by the name of Mitchel James Fenton.
Mitchel James Fenton AKA Weekend King Racing AKA Horse Racing Global
To provide a quick back story, Mitchel James Fenton has been the architect of at least a Dozen scams over the last decade through his now defunct account called “THE WEEKEND KING” including selling fake WINX hats, setting up a fake GoFundMe for a horse racing industry participant who was battling terminal cancer, Selling “INSIDE MAIL FROM SEAN BARTHOLOMEW“, Selling access to fixed races for $500, apparently run by “the Toowoomba Mafia” (his words, not mine), and now his latest rort is he was offering $3.50, then $6 for Coolangatta, the $1.80 Favourite to win the Magic Millions 2yo Classic!
Fenton was offering said prices through his new account he had set up post TWKing called “HORSE RACING GLOBAL“.
I have personally seen over 25 screenshot where people transferred him $1000 (WOW) to get on at said inflated prices! Anyway long story cut short Coolangatta won the Magic Millions 2yo Classic and from that moment Mitchel James Fenton’s online presence had all but disappeared and the Online Lynch Mob assembled, and rightly so!
It would seem Fenton has got away again with another rort but surely this time he faces some type of police action, i wont hold my breath as he is like a cockroach, when you think he is gone he will re-appear in some form!
Anyway the point being what Fenton did is as low as it gets and some would say those sending a random person on Twitter $1000 deserve whatever happens but thats not the point! Mitchel James Fenton is a serial Fraudster and MUST FACE JUSTICE!
Email me via @jack@yeahthepunt.com if you fell victim to said scam^^ and i will put you into contact with a bloke that is trying to get everyone affected in one place so further action can be taken! Moral of the story don’t be a conniving fraudulent dog!
There has been quite a stir on social media this morning with news filtering through from the West that Star Western Australian Jockey, 12 time W.A Jockey Premiership winner William Pike will relocate to Sydney to continue his riding career with Racing NSW being the only racing jurisdiction in Australia thats has not Mandated a Double Vaccination policy for industry participants.
To say that William Pike has become a cult figure in Australian racing would be a gross understatement, the term ‘Back Pike drink what you like’ has come to define the man that some punters look at as being nothing short of superhuman in his ability to get a horse home in a tight finish after weaving through the field in his signature style.
A few weeks back Pike did an interview with a group called Freedom Media in Perth in which he outlined his reasoning behind his stance to remain unvaccinated, which at the end of the day is a personal choice and everyones decisions should be respected, no matter their profile. That interview can be found below!
R1 – No 5 Heir Apparent E/W. Barrier is trash but it’s last run was great behind a very smart one. Wants every bit of 1200, Nash will need to give him a great ride but your getting great odds to find out. Warmth the obvious threat.
R2 – No 1 Reloaded – 1800m on a good deck with a solid tempo the key. Admit most of his recent form is poor but in harder races than this. Wheelhouse the danger. Pretty thin race.
R3 – A poor version of the subzero. No 1 Parry Sound finds a suitable race. Not much else to say.
R4 – No 3 Kiku is on the up. Did everything but win last start, huge speed in front and the wider barrier is a positive. Tough race, respecting Krone and Snapdanger.
R5 – Great race with heaps of different form lines. The obvious play is No 14 Isotope and Gollan seems very confident with her chances. Give consideration to No 2 Baller (ready to win) No 7 Fituese (Flies fresh and up to this) and to a lesser E/W extent 12 Dreamreacher (in for a big prep)
R6 – No 3 Beau Rossa is the wrong odds, genuine group 1 horse for $10…. We take that with confidence. Eleven Eleven seems to grow a leg here at this venue, but firmly with Beau Rossa.
R7 – No 9 Coolangatta has her biggest test but this is the target race for her. Not getting great odds but she looks the winner. Miss Hellfire and Russian Conquest if your chasing some odds.
R8 – No 3 King of Sparta is the one here in an awesome and wide version of the race. 1400m with 56Kg is his go, very confident. 1st up run was good enough.
R9 – She let us down last time but No 4 Miami Fleiss on the minimum back to her preferred good track is what I want to be on. Wisdom of Water is good value here and looks to fill the Quinella.
Best Bet – R6 No 3 Beau Rossa Next Best – R8 No 3 King of Sparta Best Value – R1 No 5 Heir Apparent
